The Friends star recently offered a glimpse into her Christmas decor style on Instagram – sharing a carousel of images, including one of her out tree shopping. However, while the towering tree that fronted the post was inspiring in its own right, fans were distracted by something else – her wooden reindeer.  Jennifer’s Rudolph is made from small wooden logs that make up the animal’s body and face; the two antlers are made up of Christmas tree branches; and a small crimson tree ornament is used for the iconic red nose. The reindeer is also wrapped in a black and white chequered scarf, as seen below (the second post along).  ‘Good luck to all the wooden Rudolphs out there,’ Jennifer wrote after sharing a video of her dogs who excitably greeted the wooden ornament by jumping around the actress.  A photo posted by on ‘Hey, be nice; he’s just here for the hols. He’s just visiting,’ she tells her dogs, Clyde and Chesterfield, in the footage. Later, the wooden reindeer is photographed sitting among the two dogs in her home.  While a wooden reindeer may not be the first thing you associate with A-list celebrities, the comments on Jennifer’s post suggest she is not the only one who has brought a Rudolph home.  ‘I got the same one,’ shared New York Times bestselling author and purpose coach Jay Shetty. Australian actress Isla Fisher was among the other celebrities who showed their admiration, adding that she ’needs’ one for herself.  And she can because the Rustic Handmade Natural Birch Wood Reindeer Ornament 4 Styles including Red Nose Reindeer (opens in new tab) (below), is on sale from $10.99 at Etsy. After gaining 1.8 million likes, and approval from a host of celebrities, we sense this wooden reindeer could be the most unexpected Christmas trend of the year. And Jess Martin, a decoration expert at Ginger Ray (opens in new tab), agrees.  ‘Scandi-inspired Christmas decorations have been popular for a few years now. However, a new spin on the trend will see Nordic touches becoming more popular this festive season,’ she says. ‘Searches for ‘Nordic ornaments’ [such as this wooden Rudolph] are already 23% higher this year.’  For the ultimate Christmas living room decor idea, Jess recommends blending a Nordic ornament with soft cream and white textures, Christmas plants, and more wooden tones that have become integral to the Scandi theme.
