The new construction home was completed in 2021, with over 7,000 square feet. The home features five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half baths with multiple rooms for the family’s entertainment, including a bonus room, library, and outdoor kitchen. The inspiration behind the interiors was to take a cue from the home’s architecture and material finishes. The interior design has an overall timeless transitional feel while incorporating natural, rustic elements, like clay moss-filled plant pots, earthenware table lamps, and wood cladding, as seen in the cozy living room above. However, it is the statement storage ideas that have truly caught our eye. In a modern home, storage should restore calm, provide display space and be suitably chic, and the storage in this home does just that and so much more. Take the tour. The home’s exterior played an integral role in the inspiration for the interior. The front porch features flagstone flooring, cedar columns, batten siding, and a bed swing. The home’s main floor features 12-foot ceilings and, in an effort to maintain a warm, inviting feeling throughout, Brad Ramsey installed interesting millwork and trim details. Hidden storage is an important yet invisible element here. The beautifully paneled understairs space hides a multitude of sins.
Kitchen
Situated just off of the main living room is the expansive kitchen complete with a breakfast area that overlooks the great outdoors. Here a clever mix of open and closed storage gives the space an added sense of intrigue without causing chaos. Brad selected Hudson Valley pendants and Bernhardt seating and was able to reuse the homeowners’ previously owned furniture in the breakfast area – repurposing this Bernhardt dining table and chairs, layered with a Loloi area rug. The breakfast area is finished with a statement ceiling pendant and offers fantastic views over the garden.
Primary bedroom
The primary bedroom’s palette is muted and serene. Special attention was paid to enhancing the natural light pouring into the room, while dual side tables provide just enough bedroom storage to stop the room from feeling overcrowded. The luxurious primary bathroom boasts a statement chandelier, which adds elegance and works as a contrast to rustic elements, like the vintage-style rug and ceiling cladding. Bathroom storage ideas are essential to making the bathroom work for you. If you invest well, furniture can easily become the main focal point. A key piece in every bathroom is a basin, therefore incorporating under-counter furniture is essential.
Library
The upstairs study and library are a blend of form and function, with a cozy fireplace and armchairs being paired with a workspace. Shelving on either side of the fireplace anchors the room’s focal point. The right shelving units can transform a whole room. It’s a place to store your collections as well as display your treasures. It’s organized with custom cabinetry that hides necessary office equipment for a more stylish finish.
Kids’ room
A room equipped with four bunk beds is perfect for welcoming grandchildren. Simple but clever under-bed storage only serves to add further interest to the loft beds.
Backyard
