The Detroit-born singer certainly knows how to make a cultural impact (promoting causes like body positivity through her music), but snapshots on her Instagram show she has a flair for contemporary interior design too. Her canvas is one of the world’s best homes – formally owned by fellow musician (and friend) Harry Styles.   Lizzo purchased the $15m Beverly Hills estate (shown below) in late October 2022 and has since shared photos of its interiors on her Instagram. However, it is not the only home where her modern decorating ideas are visible.  Alongside her new home, the singer has also shared a glimpse into her Californian property portfolio, including her former home, where she lived during the 2019 pandemic. Here, we showcarse her interior quirks across her properties.  A photo posted by on

Lizzo’s contemporary bedroom

The new home, designed by Virtually Here Studios (opens in new tab), celebrates modernity through its architecture – seen through its expansive windows and distinct wooden accents. However, this hasn’t stopped Lizzo from experimenting with traditional bedroom ideas.  A photo posted by on The most quintessential feature of all, her four-poster bed, brings a hint of 15th-century Regency to the space – but its sleek black frame allows her to do so without sacrificing contemporary the room’s contemporary style. Lizzo has paired the frame with a large rug to soften the otherwise hard-wood space. Other furnishings appear sparse, but who needs an abundant amount of furniture when your view can do all the talking?

Living space with stylish open-shelving

At first glance, you would be forgiven for thinking that this corner is a small home bar – complete with a variety of mini liquor bottles and glasses. On the glass open-shelving, Lizzo also exhibits decorative glass containers and colorful art books situated behind a gold floor lamp.   A photo posted by on

More shelving inspiration in her home office

Since gaining mainstream success in 2019, Lizzo has acquired a collection of honors, including several People’s Choice Awards, Grammy’s, and MTV awards – and the natural thing to do is showcase them in style. Much like her mini bar, Lizzo has once again styled a shelf with personal artifacts that create an enviable videocall backdrop.  A photo posted by on In the third photo on the carousel above, the singer also offers a glimpse into the open-plan living arrangement in her former home. Notable design features include her monochromatic living space – featuring black and white body-positive artwork and a glass-topped dining table. Lizzo poses next to a houseplant that sits opposite the mirror on the raw, industrial-style floor.

Her retro-style kitchen

The second and third posts on the carousel above show an insight into Lizzo’s former kitchen. Despite the musician’s evident admiration for modern design, this space appears to draw influences from the ’60s through its glazed wooden cabinets and marble backsplash that holds a series of utensils and a spice rack. An eclectic range of condiments, pots, and vases sit on the marble shelf – ensuring the space looks homey and welcoming. A photo posted by on

Her minimalist outdoor living room

Outdoor living room ideas vary – with some opting for a colorful, plant-filled space – and others going more minimalist. Lizzo’s terrace (as seen above) opts for the latter. Despite the vast greenery in the center of her yard, the entertaining space maintains a neutral color scheme through its white tables and cushions on the wooden chairs.  A photo posted by on The artist’s new home offers a range of luxe exterior amenities. Stand-out features include the 58-foot infinity pool with canyon views and multiple decks that overlook one of the most prestigious postcodes on the West Coast.
