While the whole collection is delightful and speaks to the minimal, pared-back Scandi-inspired style the brand is known for, we’re particularly enamoured with the greys. Cobble is a rich mid-grey that would create a bold but restful space and Purling Stream is a soft dove-grey that’s the perfect tranquil hue for any room. Deauville is a warm, on-trend griege for the perfect earthy, organic backdrop, while mineral is a deep charcoal hue, ideal for a chic bedroom retreat. Dani Taylor, Director of Buying at Cox & Cox, explained: ‘We spend a lot of time choosing the perfect paint colours to use on our photoshoots and understand how overwhelming it can be to choose the perfect shade for your home. Our customers frequently ask about the paint we use, so we decided to create a small and considered collection that would pair well together.’ As well as the greys, there’s also some lovely blue hues, from a sea (Swedish Blue) to petrol shades (Hainsworth), a dusky pink called Smock and a leaf-green called Bay. The paint comes in industrial style tins, that adds some old fashioned charm, differentiating it from other popular brands, however it’s not style over substance. Dani continues: ‘One frustration with normal tins is that they are really hard to open, they get messy and the rim is difficult to keep clean, making it difficult to close and get a good tight seal.
