See: Best design hotels in London – relax in luxury in the heart of the capital The exhibition will be held in The National Portrait Gallery from 27 February to 28 June 2020, after which the gallery closes for three years for a major refurbishment. This is the first major exhibition devoted to David Hockney’s drawings in over 20 years, and features around 150 works from public and private collections across the world, as well as from the David Hockney Foundation and the artist. Page Hotels’ first UK property, Page8, opened in January 2020 on St Martin’s Place, and its position directly opposite the main entrance to the National Portrait Gallery makes it an ideal hotel partner. The home of urban explorers, Page8 is a space to connect people and travellers, to share their stories about travel, coffee, arts and photography in the artisanal coffeehouse, Page Common. Weary explorers can relax and unwind in a creative, interior design-led atmosphere, enjoying fine coffee, craft beers, well-chosen wines and speciality dishes. Page Common will also display a selection of photographic prints from the National Portrait Gallery, featuring portraits of well known personalities from Winston Churchill to Kate Moss. To celebrate this collaboration, Page8 is offering a special National Portrait Gallery package to guests, which will include: • An overnight stay at Page8 • 2 tickets to the David Hockney: Drawing from life exhibition • 15% discount in the Gallery shops • 10% discount in the Portrait Cafe and Portrait Restaurant Book it: The package starts from £280 for two people sharing a Double Room and is available for the duration of the exhibition.
